A former Cu occurrence/mine located near Miller Chapel.
The mineralized zone dips south at a 30 degree incline SW (dip slip fault) and is a composed of heavily metamorphosed schist with 3 quartz veins. Above it, quartz and slate are the only 2 rock types visible. There's a rich variety of minerals including chrysocolla, malachite, pseudomalachite, and possibly some other, unidentified species. The rock has a higher percentage than normal of silver but not economically feasible. Reports by Dana of argentian tetrahedite have been discredited via EDS. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) did tests on suspected samples and they are merely covellite. None of the specimens are tetrahedrite.
