A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 12, T13N, R1E, SBM, 10.5 km (6.5 miles) SE of Goldstone (12.5 miles NE of Lane Mountain). The property is comprised of 6 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. Tucker and Sampson (1943) place this mine in sec. 33, T14N, R2E, SBM. The location was taken from Wright (1953) by the USGS MRDS database staff.

Mineralization is hosted in limestone and schist. The ore body strikes N50W and dips 80N at a thickness of 1.52 meters. Granitic rock intrudes metasediments at depth. Several small, discontinuous veins cut the complexly folded metasedimentary units. The main vein is several hundred feet long and 2 to 5 feet thick. The gold is partly free and partly in auriferous pyrite. Associated rocks include granite. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Northern Mojave Desert and Southeastern Sierra Nevada).

Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 27.43 meters and comprised of 2 shafts at 72 and 90 feet deep, and 50 feet apart, plus an open cut and 2 short adits. Remnants of an amalgamation mill are present.
