A lode Au-Cu occurrence/group of claims located in sec. 4, T2S, R1W, SBM, 5.0 km (3.1 miles) E of Yucaipa and E of Water Canyon, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in schist. The ore body is 0.3 meter thick. The deposit is comprised of a quartz vein associated with a felsic dike in schist. Associated rocks include felsic volcanic rock. Local rocks include Precambrian igneous and metamorphic rock complex.
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a 30 foot shaft and open cuts.
Analytical data results: 4% Cu, $4-$8 (period values) Au/ton.
