Near Kremmling
A former Pb-Zn occurrence/mine located in sec. 14, T2S, R80W, 6th. Principal Meridian, 2.3 km (1.4 miles) WNW of Heeney (coordinates of record), along the lower S slope of Green Mountain (N shore of the Green Mountain Reservoir), just upstream of the dam along highway 30 (Heeney Road). This locality is now apparently inundated beneath the reservoir.
Mineralization is hosted in monzonite and sandstone.
High-grade sphalerite. 45% Zn with 10 to 20 ounces of Ag/ton.
