A former Au-Ag occurrence/mine located in sec. 35, T1S, R12E, SBM, 1.8 km (1.1 miles) ESE of New Dale, on private (patented) land. The property is comprised of 5 patented claims. Operated by lessees in 1941. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. Idle since 1941.
Mineralization is hosted in quartz monzonite and andesite. The ore body strikes N20E and dips 70 at a thickness of 1.83 meters. The vein dips steeply with an andesite hanging wall and a quartz monzoniute footwall at 2 to 6 feet thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 800 foot incline and extensive level workings. A 10-stamp mill was erected.
