A former Cu-Pb-W-Mo-Zn occurrence/mine located in sec. 23, T14N, R15E, SBM, 5.6 km (3.5 miles) NNW of Drum Peak (coordinates of record) and 2.9 km (1.8 miles) ESE of Brant, along Cliff Canyon, on private (patented) land within a federal reservation (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). Operated during 1916. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in pegmatite. The ore body is 0.3 meter wide. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 adits at 260 and 240 feet, respectively. One is 80 feet above the other, connected by a raise. A 50 foot winze was sunk in the lower tunnel. There was also some work on other veins.
