A Mg occurrence/prospect located in the SE¼SE¼ sec. 26, T25S, R47E, MDM, 8.3 km (5.1 miles) ENE of Brown Mountain (coordinates of record), on National Park Service land (Death Valley National Park). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. This site may be related to the American Magnesium Company record (0060711093) listed in Wright, L.A., et al (1953).

The commodity is epsomite. Magnesium sulfate (epsomite) and magnesium carbonate (magnesite) occur as efflorescences on the surface of clayey outcrops. Local rocks include Tertiary nonmarine rocks, undivided.
