A former Pb-Au occurrence/mine located in the SW¼SE¼NE¼ sec. 24, T12N, R1E, SBM, 2.7 km (1.7 miles) SSW of Paradise Springs (coordinates of record), on the SE margin of the Paradise Range, along the W side of Fort Irwin Road (6.5 miles ENE of the summit of Lane Mountain), on Bureau of Land Management administered land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in diorite. The ore body strikes N30E-N15W and dips 10-25E at a thickness of 1.52 meters. The vein is an iron-stained, vuggy quartz vein at 5 feet thick in a shear zone. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of about 200 feet of workings, mainly short adits along the vein.
