A former lode Au-Ag-Cu occurrence/mine located in sec. 36, T1S, R12E, SBM, 4.0 km (2.5 miles) ESE of New Dale, along the Riverside County line. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. This mine is part of the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Mine. Worked by Brooklyn Mining Company from 1901 to 1916. Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite. Local alteration includes oxidation. The ore body strikes NW and dips 70SE at a thickness of 1.22 meters. There are 5 parallel veins 1,000 feet apart. The Brooklyn vein is 2 to 4 feet thick and is exposed for 4,500 feet. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings. There are 2 mines. The principal workings lie along 2 main veins (Los Angeles and Brooklyn veins). There is a 550 foot adit on the Brooklyn plus a 200 foot winze with levels at 60, 110, 160 & 200 feet that developed 2 ore shoots, one at 100 feet long and the other at 200 feet. Mill erected on the property. Detailed descriptions of workings are found in Tucker, W. Burling & Reid J. Sampson (1931).

Production statistics: Year: 1930 (period = 1893-1930): Au ore (estimated): ^$16 (period values) Au/ton; 1-3 ounces Ag/ton. Recovery percentage: 56 grams Au/metric ton.
Output during the 1930's was estimated at over $13,000 (period values). No other production records were found.
