A former limestone deposit/quarry located in sec. 8, T3N, R1E, SBM, 3.4 km (2.1 miles) W of Cushinbury and 3.3 km (2.0 miles) ESE of Furnace Spring, along the W side of Arctic Canyon, on National Forest land. Owned & operated by Pfizer, Inc., Lucerne Valley, California (1981). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
NOTE: The topo map reflects the name of the canyon as "Arctic" not "Artic."
Local rocks include Late Proterozoic to Pennsylvanian Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Mojave Desert).
