A former Hg occurrence/mine located in secs. 1, 2, 11, 12, T16S, R10E, MDM, 8.7 km (5.4 miles) SE of Llanada, along the W canyon wall of Griswold Creek, on private land. Discovered in 1940. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Upper Cretaceous Panoche Formation (sandstone). The ore body is irregular. Local alteration includes induration of the Panoche rocks. Local rocks include Plio-Pleistocene and Pliocene loosely consolidated deposits and/or Upper Cretaceous marine rocks, unit 1 (Upper Great Valley Sequence).

Local geologic structures include local fracturing.

Workings include unspecified surface and underground openings with a length of 304.8 meters and an overall depth of 30.48 meters (the topo map reflects 1 adit symbol at this point).

Production statistics: Year: 1962 (period = to 1962): Hg (estimated): ^16-20 pounds Hg/ton (569 grams Hg per metric ton).
