A former Hg occurrence/mine located in the W½ sec. 3, T16S, R10E, MDM, 2.5 km (1.6 miles) NNE of Buck Peak (coordinates of record) and 4.4 km (2.8 miles) SW of Panoche (9 miles SW of Llanada). Discovered in 1955. Prtoduced during the period 1955 to 1957. Owned by Edward A. Everett Jr. and Edward S. and James D. Matthews. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in sedimentary rocks of the Panoche Formation (Upper Cretaceous). The ore body is irregular. Local alteration includes induration of sandstone and hydrothermal alteration. Local rocks include Upper Cretaceous marine rocks, unit 1 (Upper Great Valley Sequence).
Local structures include NW-trending, NE-dipping fault zone.
Workings include surface openings with an overall length of 91.44 meters and an overall width of 60.96 meters.
