A reported Au occurrence located 11.2 km (7.0 miles) NNE of Butterfly Peak (coordinates of record) and 11.5 km (7.2 miles) W of Rancho Mirage, on Indian reservation land (Agua Caliente Indian Reservation). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

NOTE: The USGS MRDS database file presents MRDS file #10212666 as a related file; however, it pertains to another locality with a similar name.

Mineralization is hosted in granite. The ore body strikes E-W and dips 45 & 35S at a width of 0.61 meters. The veins intersect at the 50 foot level. The 45S vein has higher Au values and the other vein has higher Ag values. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 2 (Peninsular Ranges).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 45 degree, inclined shaft sunk 150 feet with a 100 foot drift at the 50 foot level and a 150 foot drift on the 150 level. Workings now flooded.

Reportedly 30 inches of sulfide ore carrying 25 ounces Ag and $8 (period values - 1945) of Au/ton.
