A former Au occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 7 & in the SE¼SE¼SE¼ sec. 12, T3S, R7E, SBM, 10.3 km (6.4 miles) NNE of Indio Hills (town), on National Park Service land (Joshua Tree National Park). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

The geographic coordinates presented are taken from the exact spot on the topo map indicated as being this mine.

Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
