A former Au-Mn occurrence/prospect located in sec. 7, T26N, R9E, MDM, 4.8 km (3.0 miles) WSW of Greenville, on National Forest land. Also located in sec. 8. Discovered 1941. Owned by A.F. Smith and C. Develter, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is an ore body which strikes NW and dips nearly vertical. The deposit is a small bed in Au workings. A few tons of Mn oxides and silicates were found on the dump. The abundance of Mn silicates and the location near creek bottom suggest that the oxide ore is shallow. Local rocks include Permian marine sedimentary rocks, unit 3 (Northeastern Sierra Nevada).

Estimated reserves are 50 tons, estimated to be 15% to 40% Mn.
