A former lode Fe-Mn-silica deposit/claim/mine located in sec. 8, T25N, R10E, MDM, 0.3 km (900 feet) WNW of Mount Hough, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is a tabular-shaped replacement deposit in a shear zone with breccia filling, hosted in metasedimentary rock. It strikes N45W and dips 65S, at 2 meters thick, and with a depth to top of 3 meters. It is 22 meters wide and 54 meters long. The primary mode of Origin was sedimentation and the secondary mode was oxidation. Primary ore control was bedding, secondary was lithology. No wall rock alteration.

Local rocks include Permian marine sedimentary rocks, unit 3 (Northeastern Sierra Nevada) and/or Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 6 (Northeastern Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings.
