A former lode Au-Pb occurrence/mine located in the SW¼SW¼ (estimated) sec. 3, T12N, R8E, MDM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) NNE of Auburn proper, along the E side of Auburn Ravine. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body strikes N45W and dips 75NE at a thickness of 0.3 meters. The vein is 1 foot thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include unspecified underground openings.
