A Cu-Mo-Ag-Au occurrence/prospect located in the SW¼ sec. 7, T18N, R13E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.8 mile) SW of English Mountain (coordinates of record) (on the SW slope of the mountain), N of Faucherie Lake. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body is 7.62 meters long. The deposit is comprised of quartz veins, lenses and stringers in metavolcanic rocks. Their average thickness is 1 foot (0.31 meter). One vein is 3 feet (0.91 meter) thick, strikes N60-70E and dips 60S. Another is 4 feet (1.24 meters) thick, strikes N80E to E-W and dips 40S. Yet another is 1 foot thick and strikes N80E and dips steeply S. Molybdenite-bearing quartz veins are emplaced along E-W striking and steeply-dipping joint sets in granodiorite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 40 foot adit plus several drill holes.
2 tons of ore were mined and stockpiled in 1918.
Analytical data results: Assays across vein results: 0.315 to 0.163% Cu, 0.083 to 0.259% Mo, with traces of Au and 0.2 ounce Ag.
