A former lode Au-Cu-Ag occurrence/mine located in the NE¼ sec. 26 & in sec. 23, T16N, R8E, MDM, about 4 km NE of Grass Valley proper, ESE of the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, on private (patented) land. The property comprises 30 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in diabase, serpentinite, diorite and greenstone. The ore body strikes E and dips S. Local alteration includes greenstones that are highly carbonitized along veins. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Local geologic structures include faulting (?).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 914.4 meters and an overall depth of 579.12 meters and comprised of a shaft, drifts, crosscuts, raises and approximately 6,000 feet of diamond drilling holes.
