A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 27, T16N, R8E, MDM, about 2 km (1.2 miles) W of Grass Valley proper. The property comprises approximately 14 acres (or 10 acres - 2 MRDS files). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Worked in the last century (1800's) but has been idle since.

Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body strikes NW and dips 40SW. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 91.44 meters and comprised of a shaft.
