A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in secs. 25 & 26, T16N, R8E, MDM, about 2.5 km ENE of Grass Valley proper, E of the Idaho-Maryland Mine, S of Wolf Creek, on private (patented) land. The property compries 5.88 acres. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in serpentinite. The ore body dips 30-34N at a thickness of 0.46 meters. The vein is 6 to 18 inches (15 to 45 cm) thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 137.16 meters and an overall depth of 91.44 meters and comprised of a shaft and drifts.
