A former lode Au-Pb-W occurrence/mine located in sec. 1, T15N, R8E, MDM, about 3 km (1.8 miles) N of La Barr Meadows, and about 1.5 miles SE of Grass Valley, on the western flank of Osborn Hill, on private (patented) land. The property comprises 69 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granodiorite and diabase. The ore body strikes N and dips 25E at a thickness of 1.52 meters. The vein is 1 to 5 feet thick and carries 4% sulfides. Wall rocks are granodiorite above 200 feet and diabase below. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 1,676.4 meters and an overall depth of 822.96 meters and comprised of an incline with 8 levels and a winze.

Production data are found in: Logan, Clarence August (1941).

Production of ore since 1934 was about 25,000 tons P.A.
