A former lode Au-Pb-Zn occurrence/mine located in the W½ sec. 17, T16N, R9E, MDM, about 2.8 km ESE of Nevada City proper. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
The ore body strikes NE and dips 75NW at a thickness of 1.22 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 121.92 meters and an overall depth 38.1 meters and comprised of a shaft and a tunnel.
