A former lode Au-Ag-Cu-Pb mine/group of claims located in sec. 13, T3S, R30E, MDM, 5.6 km (3.5 miles) WSW of Banner Ridge (coordinates of records) (3 miles N of Round Mountain), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granite, rhyolite, quartzite and limestone. The ore body strikes N30W and dips NE at a thickness of 0.91 meters. Controls for ore emplacement included fractures and seams. The ore veins follow N-trending rhyolitic dikes (2 to 6 feet thick), forming main ridges in the area. Basalt is an associated rock. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Recent (Holocene) volcanic flow rocks, unit 2 (Mono Craters).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of open cuts, shallow shafts and short tunnels.
