A former lode Cu-Au-Pb-Ag mine located in sec. 2, T4S, R31E, MDM, 8.5 km (5.3 miles) SSE of Banner Ridge, along Chidago Canyon (2 miles NNE of Casa Diablo Mountain), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite. The ore body is podiform, strikes E and dips 65-70S at a thickness of 0.61 meters. Alteration is local (oxidation). Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Quaternary volcanic flow rocks, unit 2 (Long Valley Caldera).
Workings include underground openings comprised an adit, 700 feet of workings on the adit level, 2 raises, several stopes, and a winze. The portal is caved.
Ore from the oxidized zone was first processed with cyanide for Au & Ag extraction.

Poduction information: A small amount of ore was produced in 1941. Smelter recovery ran 7.76% Pb, 3.17 ounces Ag/ton, 0.334 ounces Au/ton and 0.634% Cu.
