A former lode Au-Pb-Cu-Ag mine located in secs. 12 & 13, T4S, R18E, and in secs. 7 & 18, T4S, R19E, MDM, 0.5 km (1,600 feet) SW of Feliciana Mountain (coordinates of record) and 4.1 km (2.5 miles) ESE of Briceburg (7½ miles NNE of Mariposa), on National Forest land. Operated during the periods 1924-1934 & 1941 to 1943. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with the Feliciana vein averaging 2.5 to 3.5 feet (0.9 to 1.2 meters) thick, hosted in slate, phyllite and schist. The ore body strikes N37.5W and dips 72.5SW. Wall rocks consist of graphitic and hornfelsic slates and schists. The vein has surface exposure for nearly 1,000 vertical feet. A steeply-dipping secondary vein intersects it at 20 degrees. Two minor veins joining the vein from the E or footwall side, are largely unexplored. It is cut by small quartz diorite dikes. The principal ore shoot has developed along the intersection of the main vein with the secondary vein intersecting it. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 57.91 meters and are comprised of a 340 foot crosscut adit, several hundred feet of drifts, and a winze connecting with lower levels and drifts. There is a downslope tunnel 300 feet below. The Feliciana adit is 1,400 feet long and connects to the older vein via an 80 foot raise.

Between 1941 and 1943, a total of 4,428 tons of ore yielded 2,873.1 ounces of Au and 465 ounces of Ag.
