A former lode Au-Ag-Cu-Pb-W mine located in secs. 20 & 21, T4S, R19E, MDM, 1.1 km (3,500 feet) E of Sweetwater Point and 1.7 km (5,600 feet) WNW of Jerseydale, on private land within a National Foreat area. Discovered before 1884. The property consists of 80 patented acres. Operated 1909-1914, 1917-1920, 1932-1933, 1934-1946, and ~ to 1952. Operated by Robin H. and Edythe E. Jackson. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with 2 sets of veins, hosted in quartz diorite. The ore body is tabular and pinch & swell in form, strikes N25E and dips 60SE at a thickness of 1.83 meters. The 2 sets of veins cut hornblende diorite. Most veins average 2 to 3 feet in thickness but widen to as much as 6 feet locally. The ore consists of argentiferous galena, and a high percentage of sulfide. Showings of scheelite in the vein matter and in the quartz diorite. Most high-grade scheelite is in stringers 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 cm wide. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include surface and underground openings and operations with an overall depth of 45.72 meters and comprised of a 150 foot shaft with several hundred feet of drifts. An 800 foot adit was stoped to a height of 150 feet. There is a 40 foot crosscut tunnel. Another shaft 16 feet deep, adits, surface trenches and bulldozer cuts are also present.

Production data are found in: Bowen, O.E., Jr. & C.H. Gray, Jr. (1957).

Worked intermittently. Total recorded production for the period 1909-1952 was $22,600 (period values). Besides table figures, in 1932-1933, several hundred tons yielded 264.47 ounces of Au and 147 ounces of Ag.
