A lead mine on a NS-trending lode, which was worked for a distance of about half a mile northwards of St Merryn church. The workings appear to have been fairly extensive.
The mine was started in 1823 as Wheal Friendship and was initially worked for silver. In 1835, it was amalgamated with Trevorgus Mine.
