A W occurrence located in sec. 31, T3N, R8W (the mineral record card states that the location is in sec. 35, T3N, R9W), MDM, on the E slope of the ridge, ¼ mile E of the junction of Bear Valley Road and Sir Francis Drake highway, 1 mile from the Point Reyes station. Discovered in 1950. Operated by C. R. Noren. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. This deposit was discovered at about the same time as the Bender deposit. It was leased by Knob Hill Mines, Inc. in 1952, and after a limited amount of stripping had been completed, the lease was terminated.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 1 (Salinian Block) and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings include surface openings. Limited development.
