A former U occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 17, T27S, R32E, MDM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) W of Miracle Hot Springs, along the S canyon wall of the Kern River, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
