A W occurrence/prospect/mine located in N central sec. 21, T27S, R35E, MDM, 5.6 km (3.5 miles) ENE of Nicolls Peak and 7.2 km (4.5 miles) SE of Weldon, along Kelso Valley at the mouth of Cholla Canyon, on Bureau of Land Management wilderness land (Kiavah Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in schist. The ore body strikes N30W and dips 45-60SW at a width of 0.61 meter. Pegmatite dikes cross the tactite layers at approximate right angles. Layers are locally offset a few feet along cross faults. Tactite occurs as 2 pendants of biotite-quartz-feldspar schist. Associated rocks include pegmatite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Local geologic structures include cross faults.

Workings include surface openings comprised of open cuts and trenches in zones 400 feet apart.

Probably no production.
