A W-Cu mine located in the N½ (estimated) sec. 19, T25S, R32E, MDM, 3.0 km (1.9 miles) WNW of Alta Sierra, on the divide between Slick Rock Creek on the E and Cedar Creek on the W. on National Forest land. Operated during the periods 1916 to 1920 and 1954 to 1956. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in metasedimentary rock (mostly slate, hornfels & quartzite). Associated rocks include diorite. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.
Local structures include two prominent fractures exposed in the adit; one strikes N45W and is vertical; the other strikes N15W, and dips 30 NE.
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of an open cut 200 feet long, 50 feet wide with faces 15 to 45 feet high plus a 20 foot vertical shaft with a 42 foot adit, driven northward.
Production data are found in: Troxel and Morton (1962).
Records indicate less than 100 tons were mined during the period 1954-1956.
