A former lode Au-W-As occurrence/mine located in secs. 21 & 22, T29S, R34E, MDM, 5.7 km (3.5 miles) NNW of Weldon Peak (coordinates of record), on private land within a National Forest area. The property comprises 445 patented acres. Owned by Otto and Jack Geringer, Mojave, California (1949- ). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. This mine is marked on the Claraville topo map. This property was formerly known as the Kern County Consolidatedf Gold Mines.

Mineralization is hosted in granite. The ore body strikes E-W; N35E and dips 40S at a thickness of 1.83 meters. Gangue minerals include quartz, pyrite & marcasite. There are 3 nearly parallel veins known as the Gwynne, Jennette and Kersey. The Gwynne and Jennette range from 6 inches (15 cm) to 2 feet (0.61 meter) in thickness. The Kersey vein is 4 to 6 fet in thickness. Scheelite occurs as irregular masses in the Gwynne vein. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings. The Gwynne is developed by a 300 foot shaft and 2 tunnels. The upper tunnel is 900 feet long. The lower tunnel was driven for 2,600 feet, 100 feet below the upper tunnel. A raise to surface was driven 1,600 feet from the adit's portal. Another raise at a distance of 2,000 feet from the portal. The Kersey vein, SE of the Gwynne, is developed by a 600 foot tunnel driven N, with an 85 foot winze and drift N from the winze on the vein for 200 feet. An ore shoot developed on this level was 150 feet long, averaging 4 feet in thickness. The Jennette vein was developed by 150 foot crosscut with a drift on the vein 700 feet W. Two ore shoots were developed, 300 feet in length, from these workings. A sketch map of the claims and workings are found in California Journal of Mines and Geology Report 29.
