A former Zn-Ag-Cu-Pb occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ (estimated) sec. 5, T31S, R33E, MDM, 4.5 km (2.8 miles) S of Millersville and 5.1 km (3.2 miles) SSW of Loraine, along the W canyon wall of Studhorse Canyon, near the head of the canyon. Operated during the periods 1944 to 1945 & 1951. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is a replacement type deposit hosted in limestone and quartz diorite. The ore body is irregular in form, strikes N45E and dips steeply NW. The metamorphic roof pendant strikes N30E and is several miles long and averages 1 mile in width. At the S end of the mine is a rhyolite porphyry dike a few tens of feet wide, that has intruded the metasedimentary rocks along a zone parallel to, and several feet SE of, the NW edge of the pendant. Irregular replacement of limestone near the contact between the metamorphic roof pendant and quartz diorite. This zone is bounded on the SE by a fine-grained phase of the rhyolite dike 1 to 2 fet wide and on the NW by a pale tactite body of undetermined thickness. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.

Workings include underground openings comprised of 400 to 500 feet of horizontal workings accessible by 3 adits. Some ore may have been mined from a vertical shaft of undetermined depth at the portal of one of the adits.

Production data are found in: Troxel, and Morton (1962): 345.

Production statistics: Year: 1958 (period to 1958): Zn (accurate): from, less than 300 tons of ore the ore averaged 7½% Zn, 4% Pb, 0.5% Cu and 1 ounce Ag/ton.
