A former Au-Cu mine located in secs. 26 & 27, T10S, R34E, MDM, 3.2 km (2.0 miles) SSE of Fish Springs (0.8 mile SW of the shore of Tinemaha Reservoir), in the Poverty Hills, Owens Valley. Property consisted of 12 unpatented claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in monzonite and shale. The ore body strikes N and dips 35E at a thickness of 18.29 meters. Ore involves a mineralized, decomposed dike. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include surface and underground openings with an overall depth of 45.72 meters and comprised of a SW-trending adit, 100 feet long, to a 60 degree incline at 165 foot station. Levels are at 30, 100 and 150 feet with approximately 1,000 feet of lateral workingsd. Open cuts lie W of the 150 foot shaft.
