A former Au mine located in sec. 20, T20S, R40E, MDM, 1.4 km (0.8 mile) NW of Coso site (historical), on private (patented) land within a military reservation (China Lake Naval Ordnance Test Station). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a vein 4 feet thick. The ore body strikes NW and dips 45NE at a thickness of 1.22 meters. The deposit does not outcrop prominently. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 5 inclined shafts, the deepest of which is 250 feet. Workings through 1894 totaled 1,000 feet.
