A former Au-Cu-Fe occurrence/group of claims/mine located in the E½E½NE¼ sec. 11 & in sec. 12, T15S, R35E, MDM, 7.7 km (4.8 miles) NW of Lone Pine, on the northern end of the Alabama Hills. Property consisted of 5 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit, with a vein 2 to 18 inches (5 to 45 cm) wide, hosted in andesite. The ore body strikes N50W and dips 65SW at a thickness of 0.46 meters. An andesitic dike cuts granite. Granite is an associated rock. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 3 (Mojave Desert, Death Valley area, and Eastern Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 326 foot adit, that connec ts with a shaft 130 feet from the portal, 54 feet below the collar. The shaft extends 56 feet below the adit level. A winze was sunk to a depth of 26 feet 222 feet from the adit portal, connecting with a stope from lower workings.
