A former lode Au occurrence/mine located near the N¼ (sic) sec. 26, T9N, R10E, MDM, 3.0 km (1.9 miles) N of Nashville, W of the North Fork Cosumnes River and E of highway 49 (5 miles S of El Dorado), on private land. The property comprises 40 acres. Operated by Karl Skuja. Operated prior to 1914. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 250 foot inclined shaft and a 100 foot adit. A 10-stamp mill was erected.
Production data are found in: Clark, Wm. B. & D.W. Carlson (1956).
