A former lode Au-Pb-Zn occurrence/mine located in sec. 3, T9N, R13E, MDM, 2.8 km (1.7 miles) N of Grizzly Flat, NE of Sunday Ridge, ESE of Little Butte and S of the North Fork Cosumnes River. Operated prior to 1896. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Logan (1926) shows the location in sec. 27, T10N, R13E, MDM.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granite. The ore body strikes N and dips 70W at a thickness of 0.76 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 0.94 meters (?) and comprised of a 250 foot drift adit with 2 raises at 25 & 35 feet high, respectively.
