Velké Březno (German: Großpriesen) is a municipality and village in Ústí nad Labem District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic.

Velké Březno lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) east of Ústí nad Labem and 67 km (42 mi) north of Prague.

The village of Valtířov is an administrative part of Velké Březno.

Minerals were found in a few small quarries and one big quarry on Katzenkoppe hill. All quarries were abandoned in the first decade of the 20th century. The best samples of zeolites with green apophyllite, zeophyllite or natrolite were discovered initially in individual tephrite boulders in a steep valley near the quarry. These samples we can see in the museum in Ústí nad Labem.

According to ancient descriptions, these samples were not found in the quarry. If you have a stroke of big luck, you can find nice pockets with zeolites still nowadays. Another occurrence of zeolites was discovered in individual trachyte boulders (probably fragments of a trachyte vein). This trachyte is full of small cavities (up to 20 mm) with small analcime, natrolite, thomsonite and zeophyllite. These samples only have documentation value.

A second nice locality is in the south of Velké Březno, near the settlement of Vítov. In a small quarry within a phonolite body, nice thomsonite balls up to 10 mm can be found.
