A former lode Au-Ag-Pb mine located in the SW¼ sec. 11 & in the NW¼ sec. 14, T2N, R13E, MDM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile) NW of Carson Hill (town), along Carson Creek, S of Carson Flat (2½ miles S of Angels Camp). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a vein & pocket deposit hosted in schist, slate and phyllite. The ore body strikes N47W and dips 45NE. The vein is several feet thick with a hanging wall of fine-grained chlorite-sericite schist and a footwall of slate and phyllite. There are high-grade pockets. This ore has more Pb & Ag than usual for the Mother ode. Sulfides are abundant. Local rocks include Undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 60.96 meters and comprised of an 800 foot inclined shaft.

Small tonnages were crushed at irregular intervals, in addition to pocket ore.
