An Fe occurrence located in the SW¼NE¼ sec. 2, T3N, R13E, MDM, 1.0 km (0.6 mile) E of Soapstone Hill (coordinates of record) (2 miles SE of Esmeralda by Ponderosa Way). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is .
Mineralization is massive magnetite ore interlayered with antigorite (observed on the dump). The magnetite layers are as much as ½ inch (1.25 cm) thick. Most of the rock shopws less than 50% magnetite. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include surface openings comprised of a shallow prospect open pit.
