A former lode Au-Ag-Cu mine located in the NE¼ (estimated) sec. 11, T1N, R11E, MDM, 2.6 km (1.6 miles) NNE of Telegraph City, along Buckham Gulch, W of Boucher Mountain (4½ miles WSW of Copperopolis). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
NOTE: Geographic coordinates were adjusted to agree with the location reflected on the topo map (moved locality slightly E), at the secs. 11 & 12 boundary.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in greenstone. The ore body strikes N and dips E and is comprised of a 3 foot (0.91 meter) thick quartz vein. Local alteration is kaolinization, pyritization. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 18.29 meters and comprised of 2 shafts at 50 feet deep each and a 160 foot adit.
