A former Cu mine located in sec. 5, T1N, R13E, MDM, 0.5 km (0.3 mile) E of Mountain Top (summit) (coordinates of record), E of Campbell Creek and N of Bowie Flat (4 miles SE of Copperopolis). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in greenstone. The ore body is 1.52 meters thick. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains) and/or Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 12.19 meters and comprised of 1 shaft.

Shipments made in 1864. No production reported.
