A Mn prospect located in the SE¼ sec. 18, T1N, R13E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.7 mile) SSE of Lightner Peak (coordinates of record), N of Loucks Creek (6 MI SE OF COPPEROPOLIS). Discovered in 1918. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in biotite-muscovite granitic gneiss. The ore body is 0.46 meter (1.5 feet) thick at a length of 15.24 meters (50 feet). It consists of unoxidized and partially oxidized rhodonite. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Analytical data results: The ore grade is 30 to 38% Mn.
