A former lode Au mine located in sec. 35, T7N, R13E, MDM, 1.8 km (1.1 miles) NNW of Bummerville, E of the S end of Skull Flat (1¼ miles NE of West Point; on ridge SE of Skull Flat). Operated during the periods 1902 to 1906, and 1935 to 1936. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granodiorite. The ore body strikes N16W and dips 80SW. The ore carries mainly galena and pyrite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 60.96 meters and comprised of a 200 foot deep shaft with levels at 100 and 200 feet with drifts off each level.
