A Cu occurrence located in sec. 9, T3N, R11E, MDM, 3.0 km (1.9 miles) SSW of Buena Vista Mountain (coordinates of record), on the western slope of Bear Mountains, about 4 miles SE of Valley Springs. Operated during the 1860's. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is hosted in greenstone. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 76.2 meters, and comprised of 1 shaft.
