A former lode Au-Pb-Cu mine located in sec. 16, T6N, R13E, MDM, about 6 km ENE of Glencoe, S of the South Fork Mokelumne River (3 miles SE of West Point). Operated during the periods 1933 to 1935 & 1936. Owned by Bardsley and Shields. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in amphibolite. The ore body strikes W and dips N at a thickness of 0.61 meters. The main vein strikes E but two other veins, which strike NW also traverse the property and are 2 feet thick. Abundant sulfides are present. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 157 inclined shaft which intersects the East vein, and has a drift for 300 feet to the W and a 27 feet N crosscut at its bottom. Al old 180 foot inclined shaft to the W of the other shaft is caved.

Ore said to assay $4 (period values) per ton Au.
