A Cr occurrence located in the SE¼ of sec. 24, T2N, R12E, MDM, 4.4 km (2.7 miles) NE of Copperopolis, on the divide between York Creek and Empire Creek, SW of Bear Mountain (on the Bear Mountain Ranch; toopo sheet shows the ranch in the NW¼ sec. 11, this township). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in a small serpentine lens; ore reported to exist here. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
