A former lode Au-Cu occurrence/mine located in sec. 21, T6N, R12E, MDM, 2.9 km (1.8 miles) SSE of Clinton, E of Jackson Creek and the Amador Canal, on private land. Operated by Julius Podesta. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a quartz vein deposit hosted in greenstone. The vein contains sulfides. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
